From Z'Morge to apéro
Coffee and breakfast in the morning, croffles during the day, apéro with friends in the evening. The Pförti is where the neighbourhood meets, for good food and easy company.
Croffles
Croissant dough baked in a waffle iron and topped sweet or savoury: that's a croffle. The recipes are our own, from Roastastic Beef to Grand Chocolat.
Breakfast & Brunch
We serve breakfast Monday to Friday from 9:30 am until the kitchen closes. On selected Sundays, our brunch buffet is CHF 39 including a hot drink.
Fondue & Raclette
Our gourmet fondue is called Gletscherfondue and comes from Sennerei Pontresina in the Engadin. In Basel, you'll find it only here. The house blend is available all year; in winter, two more blends and Gletscherraclette join it.
On our menu
Croffles, salads and soups, Pförtiplättli, fondue and raclette, plus coffee, homemade lemonades, wine and drinks: the menu lists everything with prices. In winter, we also serve outside by our cosy pellet heaters.
Rooms for your event
For company events and private celebrations, you can book the Engadinerraum, the Atelier or the whole Pförtnerhaus. The food comes from our kitchen. And if you're celebrating elsewhere, our Croffle Bike comes to you.
About the Pförtnerhaus
The Pförtnerhaus has stood on Hardstrasse for over 130 years: built between 1890 and 1895 as a coachman's house, later the entrance to the poster company's commercial yard. Today our café bar and the agency Mind Studios share the building.
