In the Pförtnerhaus, a lively location in the centre of Gellert, where living, working and meeting are intermingled, you can expect excellent coffee, homemade lemonade and iced tea during the day and an urban aperitif bar with selected drinks, wine and beer in the evening. We also serve a small but delicious selection of snacks and our legendary sweet and savory croffles.
Simons & Michels Schwiizer Chuchi
It’s almost time: the Pförtnerhaus will become the stage for Simon and Michel, passionate sturgeon chefs who will be presenting their “Schwiizer Chuchi” on five evenings. A touch of tradition will enter our urban café-bar when Swiss classics, inspired by Grandma and Betty’s cooking, find their way onto your plates.
Winter Edition: Glacier fondue and raclette from Pontresina
From October 29, 2024, we will be serving three different types of glacier fondue and the legendary glacier raclette from the Pontresina dairy in the Pförtnerhaus. Enjoy cozy evenings by one of our fireplaces in a unique atmosphere with delicious mulled wine, hearty raclette and our glacier fondue.

Wondering what a croffle is? We asked ourselves exactly this question a few months ago and went on a search. Our journey has taken us across Europe, from Paris to Berlin, from Basel to Brussels. The result: we have revealed the secret of the croffles and are now sharing it with you!
