Behind the Pförtnerhaus are Diana and Michel Gysin and a crew that takes hospitality seriously, and themselves not too seriously. The Pförtnerhaus is a place we ourselves love to be.

Trained restaurateurs? No. We're career changers, and you can feel it at the Pförti, in the best possible way. Instead of gastro routine, there's heart and soul: we only serve what we would happily eat and drink ourselves. What drives us is the joy of easy-going time together and the conviction that the neighbourhood deserves a place where people love to meet, no occasion required. Yes, it's a lot of work, and we gladly take that on.

The Pförti has a crew that wakes the espresso machine in the morning, loads croffles into the iron at noon and polishes glasses at night. Without this fantastic team, the Pförtnerhaus wouldn't be what it is. Our crew is a wonderful mix: people who know hospitality inside out, and people who simply love being hosts. What unites them all is the drive to make the Pförtnerhaus a special place where joy and indulgence come together.
